Cannot add vCenter Serevr to Avamar, Event Code: 30946
Summary: Failed to communicate to vCenter. Unable to find valid certification path to the vCenter.

You will get this error while using self signed certificates on the vCenter.

Work around is to setup Avamar to ignore vCenter certificate

ssh to the Avamar grid
cd /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_data/prefs/
vi mcserver.xml

search for "ignore_vc_cert", change value to true and save the file

Run below command to restart Administrator Server

mcserver.sh --restart

Now add you vCenter to the Avamar
